Saturday
I'm having so much fun with Grace, and I'm very sad that today is the last day I get to be with her. Tomorrow I have just enough time to eat and then I'm off to catch my flight back home. I hope that Grace has something special in store for today.
She did.
After breakfast, Grace took the two of us to an African school, where I learned about how Africans are educated. It's a lot different from in the U. S., because unlike most U. S. students, the students in Africa are really dedicated and pay full respect and attention to the teacher.
I remember thinking that it's kind of unfortunate for these students not to have a better environment to learn in. I feel that if they're going to do so much in school, why can't they have a bigger board, and switch out their chalkboard for a whiteboard? Why can't they have better desks to sit in instead of sitting in rough seats with rough tables? I really hope that these things can happen to them someday.
Anyway, when we were finished at the school, Grace took me to a lake near the town that I didn't even know existed. We happily got into a boat and rode around on the super cold water. The whole time we just calmed down and enjoyed the serenity and peacefulness.
It was so nice that when we had to take the boat back I was really resistant and unwilling. I wanted to stay and float around all day. I guess it was actually night time by then so, I can't really complain.
Sunday
I know that I am always sad when I leave places to go back home, but this time I wasn't. I was really excited to tell everyone about my experience, verses stay there and have no one else know about it. I hope to let people know about Grace and the Invisible Children.
On the plane, I was thinking about all I had learned from Grace; too much to put into one blog entry. Maybe when I can think about it more. I'm just so tremendously glad that I got the chance to meet Grace.
THANKS SO MUCH GRACE!
