Sunday

Happily, today wasn't too big. Fun and exciting, but not huge. I got up in the morning, had my breakfast, and then headed out to the Wadi Mujib Nature Reserve. The second reserve on this trip...odd...

Anyway, the reserve enters into the Dead Sea at 410 meters below sea level, which means that the place is overflowing with water. I walked along through this luscious, green, rocky type thing with ledges and walls on either side of me.

The beginning of the walk wasn't very wet at all really. Just a nice dirt path next to a stream. However, about halfway through the water starts rising in the stream, and before you know it, your up to your waist in water!

It was a great way to cool off. The pools weren't too cold, yet cool enough to cool me down after the walk. All of the waterfalls were gorgeous when I could find them. It was really easy to swim in. A true wonder.

You've seen the little pools or ponds in the mountains right? Well, this was basically the opposite. Instead of being way up high, I was way down low and the spring was much warmer as well. Plus, this place was kind of like my own little private pond what with the cliffs all around me.

Not only were the cliffs a great way to keep my privacy, but they also had different colors and streaks on them, which I assumed must have been from water running down them. I'm not sure what's in the water, but definitely something to make those whitish and brownish colors.

Wadi Mujib was really relaxing and peaceful. If there's anywhere to meditate, it would be here; just be able to breath under water.

Well, that's all for today! I have to get up extra early so that I can get to the DEAD SEA! Floating weightlessly here I come!
