Day 6

Today I'm very sad. It is the sixth day that Emmanuel's been visiting me, which means that tomorrow he is going to go home. I've already done a lot with him, but I really want to do more.
It's Friday, and my school is putting on a suicide swim at 6:30 AM in the morning at Leadbetter Beach. I really wanted to do that with Emmanuel, so I woke him up at 5:30 AM in the morning so we could get ready.

The water was really, really, freezing cold. It was really fun though. A bunch of my friends that Emmanuel and I had played tag with the other day were there, and we all swam out together.
When we got home, we both took showers, and then got ready for the bike ride I was going to take Emmanuel on.

The bike ride was really cool. I could see how fast Emmanuel went with his prosthetic leg, and I could imagine how much harder it must have been with only one leg. I hope I never have to ride my bike with one leg.

Most of the ride was on bike paths, some was on the streets, but the rest was total mountain biking. It was really fun, even though the uphill parts were stressful and the downhill parts were scary, and I had a great time.

We ate lunch on the ride, and then rode all the way back. It was about 5:30 PM when we got back, and we were really hungry. My dad made us tri-tip for dinner, which, of course, was amazing. After that we played LIFE again, then went to bed.
