Sunday

Of course, this morning I woke up with that feeling in my stomach: the sorrowful feeling that I'm leaving today. Then again, I did have a great time, and I can't wait to get back home!

I decided earlier that I would do something short today because my flight was going to leave soon. I had heard about a hotel here that was also a museum. It was called Casa del Pueblo. This means the town house, which I guess is a hotel...

Anyway, Casa del Pueblo is a big white building on the beach. It looked like it was covered in snow at first, but when I looked closer I realized that that was the actual structure. It was cool to see a new type of building.

When I entered, I immediately took in a very large breath. It was very clean and polished and just like a hotel. Then I found the museum part of it. This was just as breathtaking as the lobby. It had a ton of pictures and looked as if someone came in every night and polished everything down to the tiny cracks between the walls and the floor. Sadly, I wasn't allowed to take pictues.

I then proceeded to learn all about Punta del Este's culture and history; it was absolutely wonderful! Whenever I was confused as to what something was, there was a footnote about it. Whenever I wondered what something looked like, there was a picture of it.

I stayed for about an hour, but then I realized that my plane was going to leave in half an hour, and I had to leave. Well, goodbye Casa del Pueblo, Punta del Este, and Uruguay! I had a great time here, and thank you!!!
