I drove over to the reserve in a taxi, at least, I think it was a taxi... I really couldn't tell because it looked like it said taxi on the side of the car, but it might have been "win" too . Maybe it was just a design. I can't ever tell the difference.
Anyway, I drove there in a taxi, because the hike I was going on was going to be very long and tiring. Not because it was hilly and bumpy, but just because it was so long. I had a seven mile hike up ahead, and I wanted to save my energy.

When my driver and I got to the reserve, I was very hungry, it being about 11 o'clock and me not having breakfast, so I popped into a cafe I saw in front of the entrance. The food they served was absolutely amazing! I had a sort of stuffed pastry called Al-Motubug. It had beef and onions and leeks (a sort of vegetable) inside a square of bread. MM-mm-MM!
Then my hunger was no more and I ventured into the reserve to find the trail I had heard about from Latif. By the way, if you ever go to Jordan, and you ever meet Latif, he knows all the places to go.
As I walked into the reserve, every sight and scent and sound whooshed onto me all at the same time. I saw plants, grass, beautiful clouds. I could smell plants, so many plants! I heard all of the birds singing around me. If anything is, this was paradise!

Really, the hike was just me immersed in total bliss as I walked along. No one was really on the trail today, so I felt like I had the whole reserve to myself. There were tons of plants and animals. I could hear every bee and see every butterfly. I really liked that place.
Soon, I had to go so that I could get back to my hotel. Sadly, I have tonight to pack, then it's off to Aqaba, where I intend to snorkel and swim and enjoy all of the features of Jordan's only resort...
